Thank You and Congratulations!!

We enjoyed a fantastic day at our first ever zip slide event. On Sunday 4th May 2008, 110 brave participants joined us to make this challenge a huge sucess.

Starting from the Tyne Bridge, Newcastle just over 30 metres above the river participants launched themselves 230 metres down the slide and across the river to land at HMS Calliope, Gateshead. Across the water they were greeted with cheers and applause as they rejoined their family and friends; feet firmly back on the ground!

To date so far, our zippers have already raised an enormous £19,000. Thank you to everyone who patricipated for showing such dedication to the cause!

We would also like to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers who gave up their own time to help. We couldn't have done it without you!
