2009 Flora London Marathon
Thank you for your interest in running for Deafblind UK in the 2009 Flora London Marathon. The details below will take you through various steps to take to increase your chances of securing a highly sought after place.
How to run for Deafblind UK...
The Flora London Marathon is one of life’s great challenges, and there are so many reasons to take part. Perhaps you’re looking for the personal challenge of a lifetime, or maybe you’ve had a family member or friend affected by deafblindness.
Whatever your motivation, the cheering crowds will drive you on as you pound the streets of London: round the Cutty Sark, over Tower Bridge and past the icons of the capital.
If you would like to run the London Marathon and help raise money for Deafblind UK, your first step should be to apply for a place through the London Marathon ballot. Every year there are 25,000 places available through the London Marathon ballot. In 2009, the system has changed and the first phase has already closed. The second phase for entry will open online at 9am on Monday 21st April 2008. Please remember to register for your ballot place as soon as possible at the London Marathon website or you can call the London Marathon entry hotline on 020 7902 0200. It isn’t too late!
The results of the ballot are announced in October 2008.
Good Luck – we hope you secure your place!
