How to run for Deafblind UK...
The Virgin London Marathon is one of life’s great challenges, and there are so many reasons to take part. Perhaps you’re looking for the personal challenge of a lifetime, or maybe you’ve had a family member or friend affected by deafblindness.
Whatever your motivation, the cheering crowds will drive you on as you pound the streets of London: round the Cutty Sark, over Tower Bridge and past the icons of the capital.
Securing a ballot place:
If you are lucky enough to have secured a place through the Virgin London Marathon ballot and you decide you would like to run in support of Deafblind UK then just download and complete the Ballot Place Registration Form and return it to us to let us know you have a place. By becoming one of our ‘own place’ runners you will enjoy all the benefits that our Golden Bond Runners do and we will send you a pack containing information about Deafblind UK; sponsor forms; posters; and a t-shirt or running vest (whichever you prefer) to wear on Marathon day.
Golden Bond Places:
Deafblind UK have secured Golden Bond places for the Virgin 2011 London Marathon and the competition for Golden Bond Places is extremely high. To register your interest for one of our places, please complete a registration form and medical form and return with a £100 registration fee to the events team. The £100 registration fee will only be banked if you successfully secure a place with us. We ask each of our Golden Bond runners to raise a minimum of £1500 in sponsorship, which will help support deafblind individuals across the UK. Contact our events team for further details.
We offer fantastic support to all of our Golden Bond and Ballot Place Runners:
