Great North Swim

Make a splash for Deafblind UK

Make a Splash for Deafblind UK!

This one-mile open water course across England’s largest natural lake, Windermere, is the largest mass participation swim of its kind in the UK and provides a real challenge to expert swimmers and amateurs alike.

Deafblind UK are pleased to be one of the 2010 Official Supporting Swim Charity Partners.

Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September 2010

Swimmers run into Lake

At the front of the race are some of the best swimmers in the world (including our Olympic medalists) with the mass participation field following shortly afterwards.

Deafblind UK places have now been filled at this fantastic event. If you are interested in taking part on behalf of Deafblind UK for 2011 then please email Lorraine Densham to be placed on the Swim list. You will then be contacted once the places for 2011 are released.

We will provide all Deafblind UK swimmers with:

  • A Fundraising Pack including sponsor forms, posters, and a collection box
  • Support from the Deafblind UK Team from now until the Great Swim
  • On the Day support from the Deafblind UK Team
