Charitable Trusts and Foundations

Income from Charitable Trusts and Foundations is absolutely vital to the work of Deafblind UK. It enables us to continue our life-enhancing work to ensure those who are deafblind or are living with a combined sight and hearing loss, receive the care and support they need to lead the lives they choose.

As a forward-thinking organisation, we always have a wide range of projects in need of funding that contribute to our overall vision and would benefit from donations, whether the gift is £100 or £100,000.

We are extremely grateful to the PJK Charitable Trust
for supporting the work of our Clown Doctor.

Our small team is experienced in working with Trusts and Foundations and would be happy to provide further information on any area of our work and welcome the chance to show visitors around our National Centre for Deafblindness in Peterborough, our headquarters. With the help of many supporters we were able to build this unique Centre, making our vision become a reality and enabling us to expand our services to help hundreds more deafblind people.

"The Sylvia Adams Trust is pleased to have supported Deafblind UK in creating the National Centre for Deafblindness"

We support deafblind people in many different ways and have various projects in need of support. The Ulverscroft Foundation, for example, contributed towards our National Families, Carers and Friends Scheme which offers practical and emotional support to deafblind people and those responsible for their day to day support:

"We have been impressed by the hard work and dedication of the staff of Deafblind UK to bring to the attention of the public an awareness of Deafblindness and the problems it brings."

The majority of those we support are extremely vulnerable and elderly and need specialist support tailored to their specific and very individual needs.

"In todays's world the pace of day to day activity for the able bodied becomes increasingly more difficult. Imagine the tremendous complications for a person who is deaf, blind or both. Sovereign is delighted to be able to support such a worthy cause and wish Deafblind UK continued success with their work."

Many have also served their country in the Armed Forces. This is recognised by organisations such as the Royal British Legion, Queen Mary Roehampton Trust, the Army Benevolent Fund and the RAF Benevolent Fund:

"The RAF Benevolent Fund is most grateful to Deafblind UK for the support given to members of the RAF family, with such kindness."
